URLX Audience Economics Lab
What is an Internet visitor actually worth? Simulate the value per visitor, compare it with what each property already monetizes, and measure the gap between realized revenue and audience capacity. Nothing here changes URLX-FV-0.1 or any stored record.
Research construct · URLX-AE-0.1
Audience capacity is a research construct used to investigate the potential economic value of Internet audiences. It is not reported revenue, market value or an investment recommendation. Research assumptions do not represent independently verified market prices. URLX-FV-0.1 remains the production methodology and nothing on this page writes to a stored valuation, snapshot, score, provenance or audit record.
These adjustments apply to the simulated audience capacity only. Stored traffic, revenue, scores and valuations are untouched.
Revenue-equivalent visitor value
$0.81
per visitor · universe
The value per visitor at which illustrative audience capacity would equal current annualized revenue. It describes how these operators monetize a visitor today — not what a visitor is worth.
Illustrative valuation-parity scenario
$4.70
per visitor · at 100% qualified · 1× quality · 1× engagement
The visitor value an audience-only reading would need in order to match the stored URLX-FV-0.1 valuation of the universe. This is not presented as the correct visitor value; the purpose is to understand the magnitude required.
A visitor to an e-commerce property is not necessarily worth the same as a visitor to a media, search, financial, SaaS or lead-generation property. Set a research value per visitor by category; blank categories use the universe assumption. These are research assumptions, not market facts.

Category accounts for most of the observed variation in visitor economics in this development dataset. Variation is decomposed on log10 realized revenue per visitor: recorded category first, then audience quality and engagement against the remaining residual. Whatever remains reflects how effectively each operator converts attention into economic value — a difference URLX does not yet measure directly. Descriptive research reading on 11 illustrative development assets; it is not a statistical validation and no methodology is changed by it.
Realized economic performance
Audience economic capacity
This property monetizes a visitor at $7.66 today, against a research assumption of $0.35. Utilization of 2187.5% describes the relationship between realized revenue and the illustrative capacity of the audience — it does not state that the remainder is recoverable.

- — Across the universe, annualized revenue exceeds the illustrative audience capacity at this assumption (utilization 232.8%), so the research value per visitor is below what these properties already monetize.
- — The universe revenue-equivalent visitor value is $0.8147 per visitor. That is the level at which these operators monetize a visitor today; it is not a statement of what a visitor is worth.
- — An audience-only reading would have to assume $4.70 per visitor to match the stored URLX-FV-0.1 valuation of the universe. The magnitude, not the number, is the finding.
- — Realized revenue per visitor ranges from $0.0235 (duckduckgo.com) to $20.9756 (walmart.com) — a spread of roughly 891×, which suggests visitor economics differ materially between Internet properties.
